How to make hair shiny?

There are many different hairstyles, different goals, and hair types, but one thing all of us have in common – We love shiny hair! As much as possible. I never heard someone saying that her hair is too shiny. Have you ever heard that someone complains about this?

The shine comes from the cuticle. The more damaged your hair is, the less shine you have in the end.

Therefore, you have to make your hair healthy. Well-nourished, hydrated hair, with the regular hair cut, is an unmistakable recipe for shiny hair.

Healthy hair has a rich and vibrant shine. There are few more tips for adding more shine, you will find those further in the text. Let’s speak about hair care, first.

Although there are different hair types, different goals, there are some basic rules, when it comes to hair care. Follow these rules, and your hair will be healthy, for sure. This is important, not only for a brilliant, shiny look, making your hair healthy is an essential step for everything.

Let’s speak about DO’S and DONT’S about hair care.

  • Comb your hair gently, with high-quality tools. It’s very important to be gentle when you comb your hair, starting from your ends and moving slightly up.
  • Cut your hair regularly. Every three to five months period is ideal for having healthy hair. Or, when you notice the combing is more difficult, your hair less shine, and loses the vitality and elasticity – it’s time for a haircut. Don’t wait, otherwise, your hair gets more damaged.
  • A hair mask is a stroke of luck for your hair. A vitamin bomb, an injection of health. Therefore, don’t let your hair be without a mask for longer than two weeks. Even if your hair is healthy. A hair mask is a plus, always.
  • Use a leave-in product for thermal protection when using heaters – Not that you will just protect your hair – this product adds shine, vitality and silky effect in the end.
  • Deep conditioning treatments – Spoil your hair with this vitamin injection. A deep treatment once in two months approximately does wonders for hair.

Do not over proceed your hair – Every time you want to add new highlights, to color or bleach your hair, think about it twice. Try to prolong the period between the colorations. The same rule is ON, when it comes to chemical treatments like: perming, chemical straightening, etc…

Don’t dry your hair too long under the towel – This causes dryness, static electricity, dull and lifeless hair

Don’t skip combing after you wash your hair – You can blame this for hair loss. What is exercising for your body, that is combing for your hair. Train your scalp to produce stronger and fuller hair.

Don’t use heaters too often. Not more than twice a month. If you like to make curls, instead of using curling tong, try to create curls with rollers. It takes more time, but worth it. If you like straight hair, try to learn a basic blow dry technique.

The most important is to fight dryness. Dehydrated hair has zero percent possibility to shine. It’s just impossible. However, you have to win over dryness, and it’s not that hard, believe me. All you need is the right tools for this battle.

The hair mask is the most essential part of your hair care routine. It is capable to make the difference between healthy and damaged hair. Choose your mask, choose your hair’s appearance.

Hairstyle tips for mirror-shine hair

After you did our “Hair care homework” we can speak about the hairstyle. However, if you didn’t do the “Haircare homework” these hairstyle tips won’t help a lot. At least, you can go for one month following our tips, and you will notice good things happen with your hair.

Therefore, you will feel better, and more confident when your hair looks good. Above all, you will do something beautiful for yourself and your hair, which is excellent. No side effects.

Drying hair rules:

  • Comb your hair before you dry it – If you skip this, everything else will be way more difficult. Comb your hair, and continue with drying and styling.
  • Use a brush while drying – dry and comb at the same time pointing the hot air down, close to the brush. The idea is to smooth the hair and to make more luster. Works great.
  • Use a brush made from a natural material, the wooden one is perfect for your hair. If you use a comb, the carbon one is the best option, ever. Stops the static electricity and eases combing.
  • Do the final touch with the cold air – This is a super-cool hack, that adds more shine instantly.

Washing hair rules:

  • Massage your scalp while shampooing – This way you make sure you washed your hair thoroughly. Besides that, the massage improves blood circulation and stimulates your scalp to ’work’ better
  • Use a conditioner, and comb your hair. The conditioner makes your hair softer, eases combing and adds shine.
  • Once a week – The hair mask time. A stroke of luck for your hair.
  • ’The less is more’ rule – If you put a big amount of products on your hair and scalp, that leads to dandruff, lifeless and dull hair, greasy hair, etc… The size of a peanut – two, is enough.
  • Rinse well – and add colder water final move. Don’t wash your hair with too hot water. This makes your hair stressed and dry.

There is also a shortcut to shiny hair. Especially for dry hair ladies. There are certain types of dryness that are very difficult to combat, so you need some extra help.

Our little helper is shine spray, that lights up every hair type! Unmistakable one, when it comes to shining. Smells wonderful, and adds a protective layer all over your hair. Fruity smell and mirror shine, hand to hand.
